In the event you need to notify us of a claim being made against you, or of a circumstance which may give rise to a claim, please contact our office via phone 02 9525 9311 and/or email: aicpi@sptinsurance.com.au.

We will notify your Professional Indemnity Insurer, Vero Insurance within two business days of receiving your notification.  Once Vero have reviewed the information provided, they will provide their reference number and the next steps to be taken (further information required, Lawyer to be appointed, etc.).  If the matter is a notification only, the file is kept open for a period of twelve months to await any developments, then closed if nothing eventuates.

There is no set timeframe for how long it takes a Professional Indemnity claim to be processed.   Each claim is unique and will need to be reviewed on its own merits. It is imperative that you do not make any admission of liability to your client, or any other party making a claim against you, as this could potentially prejudice Vero’s position.

We will support you throughout the claim process, liaising with you and Vero Insurance and any other parties appointed.  We are always happy to help and support you.
